Abstract: Egypt was renowned during the Fatimid Era for its textile industry, particularly silk weaving, A major factor in the flourishing of silk producting was the fatimids’ focus on industrial centers to improve manufacturing quality, Among the most important of these centers were Fustat, Cairo, Alexandria, Tinnis, Damietta, and Dabiq, these cities specialized in producing specific types of silk for whice they became known and celebrated, After the founding of Cairo, which became the capital under Fatimid rule, the textile industry, especially silk, quickly flourished there, Alexandria also produced some of the finest silk during the Fatimid era, Tinnis and Damietta received the greatest attention from the Fatimid caliphs, and their fame spread far and wide for their silk textiles and clothing, Dabiq was renowned for its gilded and silk garments, and it was particularly famous for its Dabiq garments, which remained named after it throughout the Fatimid
