Repetition in the Poetry of "Badawy Al-Jabal" A Stylistic Study
Research Abstract
Abstract:
The research addresses Repetition in the poetry of Badawi Al-Jabal (A Stylistic Study). Repetition is one of the key elements of internal rhythm, whose significance derives from the very importance of internal rhythm itself. Alongside the external rhythm (meter and rhyme), there also exists an internal rhythm that contributes to enhancing the overall rhythm of the poem.
Moreover, the phenomenon of Repetition is evident in Badawi Al-Jabal’s poetry, whether at the level of the verse through the repetition of a word or phrase, or at the level of the entire poem through the repetition of a word, phrase, or verse. As well, Repetition has been linked to several functions in Badawi Al-Jabal's poetry, including: serving the General Meaning of the poem, emphasizing a crucial aspect within the verse or poem which the poet attends to more deeply than others, and strengthening the Tone.
Furthermore, the research adopted a stylistic approach in an effort to interpret the phenomenon of repetition in the poetry of Badawi Al-Jabal. It discusses the concept of repetition, its types, its functions, and its manifestations within Badawi Al-Jabal's diwan.
